A ballet performance based on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, choreographed by John Cranko will be staged at the 2016 National Grand Theater Dance Festival, Beijing, from November 3 through November 5, 2016. Outstandingly choreographed, the ballet "Romeo and Juliet" being presented with former Soviet composer Prokofiev's music, depicts via dance the tale of ardent young lovers Romeo and Juliet, Romeo’s friend Mercutio’s hasty instinct, Juliet singling out cousin Tybalt and other dramatic roles, laced with exhilarating sword-duel scenes.The ballet will be staged at National Centre for the Performing Arts, 2 W Chang'an Ave, Xicheng, Beijing, China.
