'O’death', a play featuring the Norwegian American ensemble Findlay//Sandsmark, will be staged at Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus, Ohio, from February 9 – 12, 2017.The play refers to Reverend J. M. Gates’s sermon and gospel song “Oh! Death, Where Is Thy Sting?” (1926) and combines the dark vision of Wooster Group alum and director/designer Iver Findlay’s bleak and surreal stage pictures with choreography and movement conceptualized and performed by choreographer Marit Sandsmark. The plot revolves around an apocalyptic landscape where drones whisper and Sandsmark is the only solitary figure seeking refuge.
