The opera 'Madama Butterfly' will be staged at the Teatro alla Scala, Milan, on December 4, 2016 from 6pm onwards.This Japanese tragedy presented in two acts has been originally written by Giacomo Puccini with Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica. The opera follows the story of Lieutenant B.F. Pinkerton of the U.S. Navy who inspects a house overlooking the Nagasaki harbor, which he is leasing from Goro, a marriage broker, who has also arranged his union with a young geisha named Cio-Cio-San, known as Madame Butterfly.The opera will be staged at Teatro alla Scala, Via Filodrammatici, 2, 20121 Milano, Italy.
