‘Carroll Gardens’, a new play by playwright A. Zell Williams and directed by Ann Filmer is being staged at the 16th Street Theatre, Berwyn, Illinois, till October 15, 2016.This new comedy revolves around two friends Davis and Robby who know each other since childhood. They were best friends in 1993 but as the play moves forward the viewers realize that childhood friendships often don’t last forever. In 2013, Davis has ditched his small town past for a more upscale hipster lifestyle of a Brooklyn-based artist. It is when Robby travels across the country to crash Davis’ 30th birthday party that conflicts over race, class, and culture come to the surface in an awkward dinner party.This play is part of 100 Club and 3-Play Subscription.
