Pete Fowler will be packing his trademark psychedelic disco sounds for the audiences at the Tate Modern's Terrace Bar for its summer guest DJ sessions on the evening of August 4.Pete Fowler, the 49 year Cardiff-born artist, is known for his artwork for the Welsh band Super Furry Animals and his Monsterism toys and goods. He is a freelance illustrator and "monster creator" inspired by animals, music, folklore, myths, psychedelia, and supernature. His creations — colorful, weird, and wonderful characters and landscapes — have made him a known name across the world and bagged him projects such as television advertisements and exhibitions in the UK, Japan, and other parts across the globe."Pete" writes Tate "is also a top DJ, spending much of his time at festivals around the UK, touring with the likes of Hot Chip and bossing the dance floors of London’s clubs.""The Sounds of Monsterism Island," a CD of Pete's psychedelic music was released in 2005 by Heavenly Records.
