After two years of consecutive sold-out performances at the Novello Theatre, “West End Bares,” will take centrestage at the Shaftesbury Theatre.According to Official London Theatre website, this year’s show will feature a live band and a host of singers and “all the flesh one expects to see in the West End’s sexiest fundraiser.” The Shaftesbury Theatre websites describes the event as “a celebration of the sexiest tracks from some of the world’s most iconic music artists. One is left with no choice but to roll with it, shake the groove thing and lose oneself in the music.”Eva Noblezada (Miss Saigon, Les Miserables), fresh from her Tony nominated Broadway debut, will open “Top Off The Pops”, the theme of West End Bares 2018 event, by crooning a new song written by returning favourites Mark Anderson and Luke Di Somma. There will be choreography from Chris Whittaker (Seussical, Judy!, Top Hat), Matt Overfield (Motown the Musical, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Tommy), Tommy Wade-Smith (Book of Mormon, We Will Rock You), Racky Plews (American Idiot, Footloose, Knights of the Rose) , Callum Aylott (Dreamgirls, The Illustionists, West Side Story), Matt Krazn (Chicago, Cats), Will Lucas (Wicked, Cats), Joanna Goodwin (Sunset Boulevard, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Barnum) and more.Excitement over the event is evident in Eva Noblezada’s statement: “I cannot wait to get on that stage and perform with everyone. This year is something completely different, too. It’s gonna blow the roof off the theatre, and we’re gonna be performing with a live band, with more flesh than ever before. We’re making something pretty special for the opening with a few surprises that I’ve been sworn to secrecy about but you really don’t want to miss it, see you there!”For the fourth year running, the show will be directed by David Grewcock.
