The roaster always ends up have more fun the roasted. Roasting has had its set of problems ever since it began. The first roast happened in 2003 which featured roastee Denis Leary. The show was produced by Apostle, Leary’s production company.  It was telecast on August 10, 2003, and became the most watched program in the channel’s history, barring some episodes of “South Park.” Some of the ex-roastees have maintained that certain topics are off limits. Pamela Anderson outrightly banned jokes about her Hepatitis C infection. Joan Rivers prohibited jokes about her daughter Melissa; and William Shatner made it clear that his wife’s death need not be mentioned, though, a few, like David Hasselhoff, have accepted “no limits” on the roast topics. Donald Trump prohibited anyone from making jokes about him who was not as wealthy as himself. This year’s Comedy Central Roast was focused on Bruce Willis who was fired with a fusillade of jabs, repeatedly about his age, marriage, his Planet Hollywood business venture, his alternate music career and his recent string of not-so-good films. To Willis’ unpleasant surprise most of them came from Demi Moore, the actor’s ex wife who made a bolt-from-the-blue appearance at the show.According to a recent Time magazine article it seems Demi left no stone unturned while roasting her ex-husband. Moore said she was “married to Bruce for the first three ‘Die Hard’ movies, which makes sense because the last two sucked.” Moore recalled many memories of raising their three daughters, who were also in attendance. She added, “People wonder why our marriage ended, and in all honesty I think it was because some jealousy began to creep in. I think Bruce never really got over the fact that I rocked the bald look better than he did,” Moore joked. “After our divorce, he said he considered the end of our marriage his biggest failure, but Bruce, don’t be so hard on yourself, you’ve had much bigger failures. I mean Planet Hollywood, ‘Hudson Hawk,’ ‘Striking Distance,’ campaigning for Michael Dukakis, turning down Clooney’s role in ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ to focus on playing the harmonica?”On a more emotional note, Moore, who was married to Willis for 12 years, said their marriage included some of the best times of her life. She praised Willis as one of her top three husbands. People were a bit anxious as to how would Willis react but he took it all in great zest and accepted Moore’s roast as a perfect gentleman. After Moore’s performance, Willis told reporters that she was “just terrific, very surprising and absolutely cool.” The man was just as shocked as the audience about her impromptu appearance. The article also stated that the roast, recorded at the Hollywood Palladium, was led by Roast Master Joseph Gordon-Levitt, along with an assorted group of roasters, including Edward Norton, Kevin Pollak, Nikki Glaser, Cybill Shepherd, Jeff Ross, Martha Stewart, Lil Rel Howery, Dennis Rodman, and Dom Irrera.http://www.blouinartinfo.com                                 Founder: Louise Blouin
