His upcoming movie, by the virtue of his name becomes the most awaited movie by audiences worldwide. Christopher Nolan has surpassed excellence; he is now a phenomenon who with his impeccable body of work transcended the standard definitions of good cinema. So, it’s obvious that after Dunkirk everyone is waiting for Nolan to announce his next film. The British Newspaper Telegraph approached the filmmaker’s for the same answer. The response came from them read as “Nolan has been approached for multiple films after Dunkirk including another film for DC Comics in the Batman series starring Christian Bale once again.”Cine buffs would also know that there were very strong rumors floating around about Nolan directing James Bond 25, which will mark Craig’s last appearance as the British Spy. But soon Nolan stated unequivocally that he is not that guy, dissipating all the rumors. Nolan felt that Sam Mendes has done a terrific job in the past few Bond films and if were to direct a Bond film he would like to reinvent the entire franchise. Nolan has also not stated anything clearly about returning to The Batman Franchise but has hinted that chances of it happening are way too bleak.Nolan had said about Batman, that each the films of the trilogy were of a different genre. He delved in themes like salvation, sacrifice and humanism which were never expected in a superhero movie. It is known that Nolan's films are typically rooted in metaphysical and epistemological premises which explore human morality, the construction of time, and the flexible nature of personal identity. His body of work is permeated by selfish perspectives, nonlinear storytelling, realistic looking special effects, inventive sounds, large-format film photography, and the corresponding relationships between visual language and narrative elements. His way of filmmaking may not just suit the 005 franchise, which has a more direct way of storytelling and is not layered. There are also murmurs of Nolan’s Memento being remade, but it still isn’t clear if Nolan will be a part of the production in anyway. After his Al Pacino and Robin Williams's starrer Insomnia, Nolan planned a Howard Hughes biographical film for which he wanted to cast Jim Carrey He penned a screenplay, which he said was "the best script I've ever written", but he had to drop the complete idea when Martin Scorsese began a Hughes biopic, The Aviator. Nolan had also worked on adapting Ruth Rendell's crime novel The Keys to the Street into a screenplay that he planned to direct, but eventually shelved the idea, citing the similarities to his previous films. So, Nolan can be quite finicky when it comes to choosing his projects, but when he does; he transfers the unimaginable on to celluloid. So, hold your breath till the man announces his next film because it’s worth the wait.http://www.blouinartinfo.com                                 Founder: Louise Blouin
