‘A Plastic Ocean,’ a documentary film directed by journalist Craig Leeson will be screened at Electric Cinema, Portobello, London, on January 15, 2017.The film documents the alarming and fragile state of our oceans which is also a call for action. Initially, the film was set out to find blue whales but instead of pristine clear waters the director encountered heaps of garbage floating in the waters. Leeson then connected with scientists, freedivers, and researchers to try to devise a way to save the ocean and that comes only through change; a conscious change in how we treat our ecological system, our attitude towards using plastic, and our disposable habits and culture.The screening will take place at Electric Cinema, 191 Portobello Rd, Notting Hill, London W11 2ED, UK.
