Regent Street Cinema, London, will screen the 2016 Australian feature film ‘Pawno in London’ for the first time as part of Australia Day on January 26, 2017, at 9.00 pm.A short form for pawnshop, the film is set in the diverse and multicultural suburb of Footscray in Melbourne, Australia. A character-driven plot starring John Brumpton, Kerry Armstrong, Maeve Dermody, and Mark Coles Smith among others, the film garnered critical success and was the fastest-selling Australian film at the Melbourne International Film Festival 2015. Pawno charts the lives of 12 different local characters and the resident pawnbroker and how all their paths intersect on a single day.
