The American Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphy’s will perform Live at O2 Academy Brixton, London, on January 27, 2017, at 7.00 pm onward.The band was named after Dr. John "Dropkick" Murphy's alcohol detoxification facility. Dropkick Murphy’s got their big break when the band was selected to perform as the opening act for The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. The band's early influences were punk acts like Stiff Little Fingers, Swingin' Utters, The Ramones, The Clash, and Sex Pistols, as well as Irish rock band The Pogues, Greenland Whalefishers and The Dubliners. Dropkick Murphys’ announced in November that the band will release their ninth studio album 11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory on January 6, 2017. The band will perform as a part of their Europe tour.
