National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai, presents the seventh edition of “Centrestage,” the city’s most revered theatre festival, through December 4, 2016.“Centrestage” handpicks a motley mix of 15 multi-lingual plays in English, Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi, reflecting an amazing diversity of language, stories, genres and performances.Pankaj Kapur’s “Dreamz-Sehar” explores the life in a dream, reality and imagination, while Anubav Pal takes the viewers into “Life at 40.” “Phir Se Shaadi” is a humorous dig at Sheeba’s journey while“Dohri Zindagi” is another multi-lingual marvel portraying a love story in a homophobic society. “Do Deewane Shaher Mein” is a treat for Gujarati theatre lovers, “Qissebaazi” is a blend of storytelling and theatre with multiple performances and “Shakuntala Awaits” is a modern-day caricature of Shakuntala and Dushyant.
