French artists Patrick Bernier and Olive Martin have their works on display at Le Grand Café, France that will continue to run through December 16, 2016.Both Bernier and Martin have been treading the same path in contemporary art, creating hybrid and polymorphous works that mixes writing, photography, installation, film, and performance. This is their first major personal exhibition at the gallery, aimed at giving a voice to intriguing archives collected during their residency in the town, to be followed in real time. The title “Wiwildu” is drawn from ‘Fulfulde,’ a Fula language, where it means ‘Bat.’ The bat, as depicted in the fables of Marie de France, is a hybrid too, embodying traits from two different forms from two different universes and merging them within its existence. Neither a complete Bird nor a complete Fox, his place remains mixed between the Sky and the Earth. The exhibition is at Le Grand Café, Place des Quatre z'horloges 44600 Saint-Nazaire, France.
