Palais Garnier presents ballet by "George Balanchine," a tribute to French ballerina Violette Verdy, which will run through November 15, 2016 in Paris. Balanchine is considered as the most important contemporary choreographer in the world of ballet. A major seminal figure of the 20th century, he overhauled the feel and appearance of classical ballet. With classicism as his base, he also streamlined, and inverted the main fundamentals of the 400-year-old language of academic dance, which in turn influenced the growth of dance in America. The show will be performed at Palais Garnier, 8 Rue Scribe, 75009 Paris, France.
