Mixed Voices, a choral group from Geretsried, near Munich in Germany, is collaborating with New Delhi’s most well-known choir, The Capital City Minstrels. The two choir groups will perform at the India International Centre on November 2 and at the German embassy on November 3, 2016. Mixed Voices, the 34-member choir from the region of Bavaria in south Germany was formed in 1992 under the baton of Roland Hammerschmied. The choir is known in Germany and Italy for its repertoire of pop, gospel, spiritual and classical music. At the public concert in New Delhi (the one at the Germany embassy is not open to public), Mixed Voices will present a mix of pop and traditional music in German and English, along with the Indian devotional song, “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram.” The 22-year-old Capital City Minstrels toured Europe in June 2015, when it was hosted by and performed with several choirs. Its conductor at the time, Carolin Remy, organized for the group to perform with Mixed Voices, the choir she used to sing with in Geretsried. The Capital City Minstrels, in return, invited Mixed Voices to perform in India, which resulted in the upcoming concerts. The concert at the C. D. Deshmukh Auditorium in India International Centre will begin at 6.30 pm on November 2, 2016.For details, visit: http://www.iicdelhi.nic.inClick on the slideshow for a sneak peek of the two choirs.  p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px 'Minion Pro'}
