The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai, presents NCPA Flashback: Bhavni Bhavai. The film will be screened on October 20, 2016 in Mumbai.With screenplay and direction by Ketan Mehta, the film revolves around an ancient bhavai tale called Achhootno Vesh (Garb of the Untouchable), which speaks of the hehumanisation of Harijans. The Harijan was required to wear a broom behind him to take off his polluting footprints, as well as wear a third sleeve as a sign of his submission.
