National Centre for the Performing Arts, Mumbai, presents NCPA Umang: Dvaya Bharatanatyam by Sayali Nadkarni and Deepika Potdar. The show will take place on October 19, 2016 in Mumbai.Bharatanatyam in its traditional form carries the spiritual angle of the jiva atma and parama atma in its essence. Its technique is an edifice based on this foundation. Dvaya (the dual realm of existence) explores the concept of two in spatial, emotional and spiritual context. For these dancers, Dvaya (whether Shiva-Parvati or Radha-Krishna), a jatiswaram or a tillana, is a journey to link the technique with this understanding of classical dance. The performance will be staged at NCPA, NCPA Marg, Nariman Point, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400021, India.
