In search of help with their relationships, these couples visit the “love building,” a camp where trainers offer assistance with problems of the heart. The trainers, meanwhile, must also confront their own issues. This bittersweet film combines elements of comedy and mockumentary in its exploration of the heartbreak and hysteria of modern life.“Love Building” screens May 13 at 7:00pm at GV Suntec City, Hall 4. Prospero’s BooksWith 2016 marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, the festival gives viewers a chance to see Peter Greenaway’s obtuse, visually breathtaking free-associative 1991 adaptation of “The Tempest,” with John Gielgud playing Prospero and many of the other speaking parts.“Prospero’s Books” screens May 19 at 7:00pm at GV Suntec City, Hall 4. Song of the SeaThis hand-animated Irish charmer, which was nominated for the Best Animated Feature Film at the 2015 Oscars, breathes sumptuous life into Irish folk characters, weaving a transporting story of a boy who discovers his sister is a mythological creature.“Song of the Sea” screens May 15 at 2:00pm at GV Suntec City, Hall 3.
