It’s Time to Get Creative with ‘The Coalition Festival’ in Delhi

When 30 curators, 300 speakers, 11 streams and India’s top-notch creative community come together under one roof – then certainly it will fuel the next wave of ideas and creativity. The third edition of ‘The Coalition Festival’ kicked off in Delhi yesterday with a day long focused sessions with industry experts from distinct streams including design, publishing, journalism, hospitality, fashion, makers, gaming, art and photography, music, comedy, content creation and social media hosted across different cultural centers around Delhi.Two years ago The Coalition, founded by Only Much Louder and Do One Thing, started off to boost the freelancers, entrepreneurs, students, professionals and other aspirants who wanted to transform their ideas into a business. With a continued endeavour to build a strongly networked creative community, the festival provides tangible tools and resources to the creative entrepreneur through some of the world’s most respected entrepreneurs, designers, brands and visionaries.The Coalition Festival, which is going to continue till March 6, will showcase a variety of brilliant ideas through sessions, workshops, panels and networking events. The festival also offers plenty of opportunities to unwind with live performances by musicians, comedians and special screenings.During the three-day event, The Coalition going to showcase acclaimed international films. The film festival is curated by producer Guneet Monga who brings to the audience a variety of highly acclaimed films. Some of Guneet’s outstanding films are 'Gangs of Wasseypur', 'The Lunch Box', 'Masaan' and many more. Along with many international films and big budget films like 'Zubaan', the festival will also screen 'Bouncing Cats', 'Tomorrow We Disappear' and 'Placebo'.Talking about the initiative Guneet says, “This is the first time we will be including three films as part of the Coalition to add another dimension for the creative community. The films that we have curated are not just award winning but very relevant to the current times we live in and it is important to have conversations around them and give them the attention they deserve.”Actor Richa ​Chadda, who is speaking at the conclave says, “I am excited to speak at the coalition. I want people to have an insight into my journey. I am told people are curious because I am an outsider and have come this far without a godfather/mother.”“For us, The Coalition goes beyond a just a platform showcasing creativity, it serves as a hub for inspiration, one that generates ideas, innovations, new technologies, and creative visions that drive progress. It’s time we stopped thinking of the term ‘startup’ as just something related to digital platforms and IT,” says Vijay Nair, CEO, Only Much Louder.The event will also host workshops and business clinics that will support budding creative entrepreneurs by offering advice from key mentors and funders. The festival will host power-packed panel discussions exploring social impact of the arts and content creation, thus, encouraging unique perspectives and motivating creative exchange.During the festival 11 streams have been curated by 30 curators including Tanmay Bhat of All India Bakchod (AIB), Frieda Pinto, Global Ambassador for Girl Rising India, and Guneet Monga.Day two will see talks on topics like Celebrity to CEO, Profit with Purpose, Inspiring Stories, The Storytellers, Save The Internet and the performance ‘On Air with AIB: Breaking into Bollywood’.The festival is taking place from March 4 to March 6 at multiple venues in Delhi including the National Museum (Janpath), British Council (Connaught Place), Akshara Theatre (Connaught Place), FLYP@MTV Cafe and Talkatora Stadium.Follow@ARTINFOIndia
