‘Mahima-The Return of the Guru’ at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi

The Raza Foundation presents “Mahima - ​The ​Return of the Guru” at the Triveni Kala Sangam Auditorium, New Delhi on January 17 and 18, 2017 from 6pm.This is the first edition of ‘Mahima,’ an annual festival of classical performances of different forms of music and dance. The Festival aims to throw the spotlight on the role and continuing relevance of the guru, in today’s times where their role is lauded but their presence in real performance is often sidelined. The stellar line up of performers include Ustad Shujaat Khan (Sitar), Kapila Venu (Kodi​ya​t​tam), Ashwini Bhide Deshpande (Khayal) and Madhavi Mudgal (Odissi). They will present the elements that their gurus have specially trained them in.The two-day festival will be hosted at the Triveni Kala Sangam Auditorium, Tansen Marg, New Delhi.Click on the slideshow for a sneak peek of the performers.
