American playwright, actor, author, screenwriter, and director Sam Shepherd’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play ‘Buried Child’ will be staged at the Trafalgar Studios, London, through March 4, 2017.The play set in 1979 rural America, depicts the breaking up of the American nuclear family through disappointments and disillusionment that comes in the wake of recession and political unrest. A painful and dysfunctional yet funny family drama that looks at disenfranchised Americans. The play is significant now as it was then almost 40 years ago. The cast includes five-time Oscar Nominee and Golden Globe winner Ed Harris (Apollo 13, The Rock, The Truman Show, and The Hours) and Oscar and Emmy Nominee and Golden Globe winner Amy Madigan (Twice in a Lifetime, Love Child, Gone Baby Gone, and Roe vs. Wade).
