The London International Mime Festival returns this winter and will run from January 9, through February 4, 2017, at various locations across London. The festival celebrates its 40th anniversary season this year. Founded in 1977 by producer Joseph Seelig, and mime-clown Nola Rae, it is one of London’s longest running international theatre festivals. The festival includes a range of contemporary visual performances such as live art, physical and circus-theatre, mask, puppetry, movement and object theatre. Performers include renowned acrobat Mathurin Bolze (Cie MPTA), Charleroi Danses’ Kiss & Cry and Mossoux Bonté, German Mask-theatre experts Familie Flöz, and Gandini Juggling along with new artists and premiers. Category defying object theatre and surrealist Greek glam live art, manga-inspired drama from Italy are also part of the program.The festival will run across multiple locations in London.
