Komische Oper Berlin presents “My Fair Lady,” which will be staged through April 2017 on select dates in Berlin. The musical in two acts is based on George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion and the film by Gabriel PascalBook with song texts by Alan Jay Lerner. This is the story of Professor Henry Higgins, an expert in phonetics and a defender of proper elocution, who bets with the like-minded Colonel Pickering: using the young flower girl Eliza Doolittle, who can only express herself in the coarse dialect of the lower classes. The musical is a bitter criticism of the rigid class structures in 19th-century England. The show will be staged at Komische Oper Berlin, Behrenstraße 55-57, 10117 Berlin, Germany. For details, visit: https://english.komische-oper-berlin.deClick on the slideshow for a sneak peek of the show.
