The haunting tale of ‘Giselle’ performed by English National Ballet will run from January 11, through January 22, 2017, at the London Coliseum.A romantic ballet comprising two parts, narrates the tale of Giselle, a peasant girl who dies of a broken heart once she learns that her lover is betrothed to another. The tale takes a supernatural and grim turn when Albrecht her beloved is targeted by the Wilis, a group of supernatural women who dance men to death. They summon Giselle from her grave but her love and forgiveness protects him and her undying love frees him from their grasp. Giselle features some of ballet’s most mesmerizing scenes and images coupled with Adolphe Adam’s score, performed live by English National Ballet Philharmonic.The performance will be staged at the London Coliseum, home of English National Opera, St Martin’s Lane, London WC2N 4ES.
