Photos, videos, and drawings by artists Romina De Novellis and João Vilhena will be showcased at Galerie Alberta Pane, Paris, in an exhibition titled 'Disparition, on view from January 7 to March 11, 2017.The exhibition will be hosted in Galerie Alberta Pane’s new Paris space and will feature unpublished pieces on the theme of disparition. Passionate about anthropology and the question of the confinement of the human body which she never stops exploring, Romina De Novellis realizes very physical performances on the body. Disparition is a theme that João Vilhena has already discussed for a long time in his works. He considers his practice a journey, a stroll, and likes to take viewers to a deep and subjective contemplation, disturbing and agonizing. In his last works, the artist focused on the making of drawings from photographic archives of species now extinct.The exhibition will be on display at Galerie Alberta Pane - 47 rue de Montmorency - 75003 Paris.
