The ballet 'Carmina Burana' will be staged at Volksoper, Vienna, on December 21, 2016.The ballet will be presented in a version tailored for the stage at Volksoper. 'Carmina Burana' was first presented in 1934 as a play but is performed in a completely different manner today. Vesna Orlic perfectly captures the passion and beauty of Carl Orff's 1936 masterpiece about Fortune's wheel. Although Carmina Burana is most commonly found in its concert form, this production sees 24 graceful and talented dancers harnessing the power and energy of the score in a beautiful personal interpretation of the music.
