Theatre des Bouffes du Nord, Paris, presents 'The Woman Destroyed', which will run from December 7-31 on various dates.Directed by Hélène Fillières with Josiane Balasko, the monologue takes place on a New Year’s Eve, when everyone is indulging in their own emotional and social coccoon. When the customary habit of staying quiet is no longer possible, Josiane Balasko can scream about it and protest this violent idea of happiness that the world forces onto us. The floor is given to a woman, devastated, shattered, whose revenge takes the shape of a monologue. She lets her rage burst forth, and with it surface the painful memories and their share of guilt. 'The Woman Destroyed' is a score in the form of a self-portrait.The show will be performed at Theatre des Bouffes du Nord, 37 bis Boulevard de la Chapelle, 75010 Paris, France.
