Labor, Mexico City, presents the film “Incomplt,” by Milan-based artist Etienne Chambaud, through January 14, 2017.The presentation is part of a film research project entitled “La Nuit Sauve (The Wild Night)”, an experimental nature documentary and deciphers the coexistence of different categories such as the human, non-human and inhuman. The film beautifully demonstrates the life of millions of monarch butterflies that migrate thousands of kilometers to the wooded mountains of Michoacan, an ancient sacred center of local cultures. The periphery of the forests remains dotted with ice figures in bar shapes and circles, which melt, break, or gradually amalgamate. These elements give rise to a multi-stable reality phenomenon and eventually a multi-stable perception, as variant shapes and conditions coexist.The film is being screened at Labor, Francisco Ramirez # 5, Col.
